GORLESTON MAN APPEARS IN COURT ACCUSED OF TWO COUNTS OF RAPE
A resident of Norfolk has made a court appearance charged with a series of sexual offences, including claims of rape.Samuel Ashby, 22 years old from Berberis Green in Gorleston, has been formally charged with two counts of rape and multiple sexual assault charges in Great Yarmouth.
At his appearance before the magistrates, he confirmed his identity, date of birth, and residence details.
He has not yet entered a plea in response to the charges brought against him.
The allegations involve the rape of a woman aged 16 or older in Great Yarmouth from April 25 to April 28, 2021.
He is also accused of three counts of sexually assaulting a woman aged 16 or over during those same dates.
Additional charges include the sexual assault on April 22, 2023, where he allegedly assaulted a woman aged 16 or over by penetration with a part of his body.
On the same day, he is also accused of sexually assaulting another female.
The case has been adjourned for a case management hearing set for May 27 at Norwich Crown Court.
During this period, Ashby has been granted unconditional bail.
