MAN ARMED WITH BUCKFAST BOTTLE KICKED PARTNER IN THE FACE

A 28-year-old man pushed his partner over a wall and kicked her on the face.

The victim sustained a broken ankle during the attack by Nwachukwu Mbanefo, who was waving a Buckfast bottle and threatening to kill the woman who was armed with a kitchen knife.

Mbanefo, 28, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court by video-link from prison.

He admitted that on October 30-31 at Kinnell Road, Inverkeithing, he assaulted his partner.

He engaged in a fight with her, repeatedly attempted to punch her to the head and body and attempted to strike on the head with a bottle.

He then threw the bottle at her, repeatedly seized her and pushed her body.

He repeatedly punched her on the head, pushed her over a wall, causing her to fall to the ground, repeatedly kicked her on the head and body and threatened to kill her, all to her severe injury.

Sheriff John MacRitchie called for reports and Mbanefo will remain in custody until sentencing on April 17.
