NIGEL FINNEY SENTENCED IN WALSALL FOR SERIOUS SEX OFFENCES AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

In a case that has shocked the community of Walsall, Nigel Finney, a 54-year-old resident of Broad Lane, was sentenced to six years in prison after being found guilty of multiple severe sex offences. The court proceedings revealed a disturbing pattern of criminal behavior involving both physical assaults and the possession of illicit images involving minors.

Finney's criminal record includes charges related to indecent assault on a child, attempted rape, and the creation and distribution of indecent images of children. He pleaded guilty to four charges concerning the assault and attempted rape, as well as seven counts of making indecent images of children. Additionally, he admitted to possessing extreme pornographic material, which further compounded the severity of his crimes.

The judge, Mr. Michael Dudley, emphasized the gravity of the offences, stating that they were so serious that only a lengthy prison sentence could be justified. As part of his sentencing, Finney was ordered to serve six years behind bars.
