NICHOLAS PRINT FROM EVESHAM FACES JAIL OVER CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN WORCESTERSHIRE

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the Worcestershire community, Nicholas Print, a 45-year-old resident of Fairfield Road in Evesham, has been brought to justice for possessing a significant collection of indecent images of children. The charges against him stem from a series of criminal activities involving the illegal download and possession of these disturbing materials, which have prompted serious legal repercussions.

Print appeared before Worcester Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to eight separate charges related to the creation and possession of indecent images of minors. The prosecution, led by Paul Whitfield, outlined the circumstances of Print’s arrest and subsequent discovery of the illicit content. According to Mr. Whitfield, Print was detained in October after breaching a bail condition, during which he was found to have downloaded additional indecent images onto a mobile phone. This breach prompted further investigation, revealing that Print had purchased a new laptop to replace the one previously confiscated by authorities. The new device was found to contain thousands of additional images, which are currently being examined to determine their severity and nature.

The court heard that between March 2008 and February 2011, Print had downloaded a total of 6,764 images classified as level one, indicating the least serious category of indecency. In addition, he admitted to acquiring 82 images at level two, 15 at level three, 27 at level four, and five at level five, the most severe classification. Furthermore, he possessed five videos at level five and 30 videos at level one. Notably, between January 2009 and February 2011, he also had in his possession a disturbing video featuring 14 moving images of extreme pornography, which was deemed grossly offensive.

Defense lawyer Jason Patel indicated that a psychiatric report had been requested to better understand Print’s mental state and the factors contributing to his actions. He also acknowledged that Print was fully aware of the possibility of facing a custodial sentence. The case was scheduled for sentencing in the week beginning February 4, but delays had occurred, with Judge Robert Juckes questioning the reasons behind the nearly two-year gap since the initial charges. The judge emphasized that the focus now was on determining the length of the prison term, which appeared imminent.

As part of the court’s ruling, Print was ordered to register as a sex offender, a standard requirement following his guilty pleas. He was also remanded in custody pending sentencing, reflecting the seriousness of his crimes and the community’s concern over the safety of children in Worcestershire.
