NEIL DAVY FROM BAMBER BRIDGE FACES JAIL OVER CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN PRESTON
In a serious case brought before Preston Crown Court, Neil Stuart Davy, a resident of Bamber Bridge, has admitted to possessing and distributing indecent images of children, leading to the possibility of a custodial sentence. Davy, who was formerly living on West View in Bamber Bridge and now resides on Brownedge Road in Lostock Hall, appeared in court to face multiple charges related to child exploitation and indecency. At 44 years old, Davy pleaded guilty to a total of six charges. The first charge involved the distribution of an indecent video depicting two young girls, a disturbing act that highlights the severity of his offenses. In addition to this, three other charges pertain to his downloading of indecent images of minors, which he accessed over a period spanning from October 2015 to July 2018 in the Bamber Bridge area.
The investigation uncovered that Davy had accessed a significant number of illicit images, including 57 still and moving images classified as Category A, the most serious level of indecency under the law. Furthermore, he possessed an additional 61 images and videos categorized as Category B, along with a staggering 840 images and videos deemed Category C, indicating a large-scale collection of illegal material.
Beyond these charges, Davy also pleaded guilty to possessing an extreme pornographic image involving a dog, which is considered a serious offense, as well as possessing two prohibited images of a child. These offenses collectively paint a disturbing picture of his activities over the years.
Although Davy has no prior criminal convictions, his defense lawyer acknowledged that he is likely to face a custodial sentence given the gravity of the crimes. The presiding judge, Honorary Recorder of Preston, Judge Mark Brown, agreed to adjourn the case to allow for a pre-sentence report to be prepared, which will help determine the appropriate punishment.
The sentencing hearing has been scheduled for January 17, marking a significant step in the legal process against Davy for his involvement in these heinous crimes.
