NATHAN LLOYD SENTENCED IN NARBERTH FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL
In a case that has drawn significant attention in Narberth, Nathan Lloyd, a 24-year-old resident of Adams Drive, was sentenced to two years in prison after admitting to engaging in sexual activity with a minor.The incident dates back to January 2015, when Lloyd was found to have had sexual relations with a girl who was only 15 years old at the time.
During the court proceedings at Swansea Crown Court, it was revealed that Lloyd had pleaded guilty to one of two charges brought against him.
The prosecution, led by Robin Rouch, explained that while it was not possible to definitively prove Lloyd's knowledge of the girl’s age during the initial incident a month prior, it was clear that by January, he was aware she was underage.
Details of the case indicated a pattern of grooming behavior, including the use of alcohol and the booking of a hotel room, which suggested premeditation and manipulation.
The court heard that Lloyd’s actions were serious enough to warrant strict legal measures beyond imprisonment.
As part of his sentence, Lloyd was ordered to register as a sex offender with the police for the next ten years.
Additionally, he was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order that will remain in effect for the same duration, restricting his ability to contact the girl or any other minors.
Furthermore, Lloyd was permanently barred from working with children or vulnerable adults after his release from prison, aiming to prevent any future harm.
The court also issued a restraining order that prohibits him from making any form of contact with the victim by any means.
The case initially involved a broader investigation into more serious allegations.
However, police examinations of Lloyd’s mobile phones revealed text messages that painted a different picture from the initial accusations, leading to the charges and subsequent conviction.
