BRISTOL SEX GANGS JAILED FOR GROOMING GIRLS
A total of 13 men from Bristol have been convicted of multiple child sex offenses, including abuse, rape, and involvement in child prostitution.During the proceedings at Bristol Crown Court, it was disclosed that a 16-year-old girl was assaulted by five Somali men after being relocated to the city while under the care of an external authority.
Her 14-year-old sister was also raped by a gang member during a visit.
Further investigation revealed another group of Somali men abusing four additional teenage girls.
These victims were either paid £30 or provided with drugs, alcohol, and gifts in exchange for sex with older men from the same community.
The 13 accused men, all from Bristol, faced charges such as rape, sexual activity involving minors, facilitating child prostitution, trafficking, and paying minors for sex.
Following a trial in the summer, six men received prison sentences, while the other seven were convicted when reporting restrictions were lifted this week.
The specifics of these cases—dating back to 2011—are now publicly available.
One case involved drug dealers from Easton who exploited mainly one teenage girl, moving her into her own flat and leaving her under minimal supervision from social services outside her local area.
The second case involved another group of young men who groomed and sexually abused teenage girls.
