MOHAMMED ULLAH FROM EARLS BARTON SENTENCED FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE AND CRUELTY IN NORTHAMPTON

Mohammed Ullah, born around 1981 and residing at Stevens Court, Wellingborough Road, Earls Barton, Northampton NN6 0GZ, has been convicted of serious domestic abuse charges following a disturbing pattern of coercive control and violence directed at his partner. The case has drawn significant attention due to the nature of the allegations and the involvement of animal cruelty charges that, although brought against Ullah, were ultimately not pursued by prosecutors.

Ullah's arrest took place on September 25, 2023, after his partner contacted emergency services to report an assault. According to her account, Ullah had physically attacked her, grabbing her by the arms and then by the throat. During the incident, he also made threats to kill himself if she decided to end their relationship. The woman revealed that she had endured a year of ongoing abuse at Ullah’s hands, which included not only physical violence but also the abuse of their dog. She described how Ullah had beaten the dog and had also subjected her to physical and emotional abuse, including attacks when she refused his sexual advances, name-calling, and threats of crashing his car with both of them inside.

Following these events, Ullah faced multiple charges, including controlling and coercive behavior within a family or intimate relationship, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentional strangulation, and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal. The latter charge was related to the alleged cruelty towards his dog, which Ullah denied. Despite the initial charges, the prosecution decided not to pursue the cruelty to an animal charge, and it was ordered to remain on file.

Ullah was scheduled to stand trial at Northampton Crown Court. However, on March 18, 2024, he entered guilty pleas to the charges of coercive control and assault. The court did not proceed with the animal cruelty and strangulation charges, which Ullah had also denied.
