MOHAMMED JOEL CHOUDHURY FROM ST ANNES JAILED FOR INDECENT IMAGES IN POLICE INVESTIGATION
In a shocking development, Mohammed Joel Choudhury, a former police officer based in Preston and residing on Highbury Road East, St Annes, has been sentenced to prison following a serious misconduct investigation by Lancashire Constabulary.
The investigation, which took place in May 2023, uncovered disturbing evidence on Choudhury's mobile device, including indecent images of a young girl aged 16 and photographs of a vulnerable woman who had previously been a victim of crime.
Choudhury, aged 44, faced charges of creating indecent images of a child and misconduct in a public office.
These charges stemmed from the findings during the internal review conducted by the police force, which revealed the extent of his inappropriate behavior.
The case was brought before Manchester Crown Court, where Choudhury pleaded guilty to the charges.
