MOHAMMED DAUHOO'S HORRIFIC CRIMES IN EDMONTON: CHILD RAPE AND GROOMING CASE REVEALED

In a disturbing case that has shocked the Edmonton community, Mohammed Dauhoo, a man with a dark history of sexual offenses, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the heinous abuse of a young girl. The crimes span over a period of three years, during which Dauhoo systematically groomed and sexually assaulted his victim, beginning when she was only nine years old.

According to court records, Dauhoo, who was known to have no fixed address at the time, lured the girl into his home located in Upper Edmonton. It was there that he committed multiple acts of sexual assault, exploiting her innocence and trust. The court was informed that Dauhoo manipulated the young girl by telling her that engaging in sexual activity was necessary for her to 'grow,' a disturbing attempt to justify his actions and manipulate her perception.

Throughout the grooming process, Dauhoo showered his victim with gifts, including laptops, mobile phones, and clothing, further entrenching her dependence on him and making it difficult for her to seek help. The victim, whose identity remains protected for legal reasons, eventually confided in a teacher about the abuse after Dauhoo was convicted in 2013 for similar offenses. Her courage in coming forward was instrumental in bringing his crimes to light.

Mohammed Dauhoo faced a jury at Southwark Crown Court, where he was found guilty of five counts of raping a child under 13 and two charges of sexual activity with a minor. The court heard that the abuse occurred between July 2009 and March 2013, during which Dauhoo's predatory behavior was meticulously documented and proven.

In a separate but related case from April 2016, Dauhoo, then aged 71, was accused of further heinous acts involving a young girl. It was alleged that he watched pornography with her at his North London residence and attempted to imitate the acts seen in the videos. The court heard that Dauhoo would often shower the girl with gifts, including a laptop and jewelry, as a means of grooming her.

He repeatedly professed his love for the girl, attempting to keep her returning to his home, which he used as a base for his predatory activities. The incidents reportedly took place over several occasions between July 31, 2009, and March 31, 2013, at his North London address. The court's findings highlighted a pattern of manipulative and abusive behavior aimed at exploiting a vulnerable young girl.

Yesterday, during the sentencing hearing, the court imposed a sentence of 14 years and six months on Dauhoo, reflecting the severity and brutality of his crimes. His actions have left a lasting impact on his victims and serve as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and protective measures within communities to prevent such tragedies from recurring.
