In Bristol, three men have been imprisoned for the horrific sexual abuse of teenage girls.
Mohammed Ismail Dahir, 24 received eight-year sentences after being found guilty of two counts of rape each, with their sentences running concurrently.
The sentencing judge, Peter Blair, stated that they had brought shame upon their families and themselves.
The Crown Prosecution Service described the incidents as 'chilling.' The offences spanned from 2009 to 2013 at different locations in Bristol, involving girls aged between 13 and 15.
The victims were sometimes given drugs and alcohol, as the offenders intentionally targeted them because they were vulnerable and impressionable.
Detective Lisa Jones of Avon and Somerset Police commented on the case, saying: 'It is impossible to comprehend the torment and anguish these girls have suffered at the hands of these offenders.
They are on a journey of coming to terms with this abuse and I have no doubt this will be a life-long journey.'
