SEVEN MEN CHARGED IN BRISTOL CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION
Mohamed Arafe, aged 19 and from Speedwell in Bristol, faces multiple criminal charges.These include five counts related to arranging or helping to facilitate the sexual exploitation of a minor, one charge for causing or inciting a child’s sexual exploitation, and an additional charge of sexual assault.
He is also accused of being involved in the drug trade, specifically concerning the supply of cocaine and ecstasy, with each being the subject of separate allegations.
DCI Tom Herbert, the senior investigating officer in the case, said: “This remains a complex and sensitive investigation which has the protection of young girls from exploitation and the disruption of offending at its very heart.” Supt Deepak Kenth said: “Working with our partner agencies, we’ve held events in Bristol city centre and continue to work with hotels, taxi drivers and other businesses to raise awareness about the signs of exploitation and the need to report any concerns or issues to the police.”
