ROTHERHAM SEX OFFENDER MITCHELL BILSON JAILED FOR DECADES
At Sheffield Crown Court on Monday, it was revealed that 19-year-old Mitchell Bilson targeted a girl by transmitting inappropriate sexual and graphic images through TikTok and WhatsApp.
The case came to light after the girl’s aunt, suspicious of her phone activity, examined it and reported her findings to the police.
Prosecutor Kitty Colley stated at the hearing that Bilson had admitted guilt to inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and to engaging in sexual communication with a minor during the proceedings related to his plea, trial, and preparations.
She stated that the incident was uncovered when the girl’s aunt looked at her phone out of suspicion.
The aunt found on March 22, 2024, a series of messages that raised alarm.
The contact was saved as 'My King,' and he claimed to be 18 years old.
The messages contained sexual content and graphic images.
It was also revealed that on WhatsApp, the messages showed a relationship where Bilson called her 'gorgeous' and expressed love, with her responding in kind.
The girl, who was emotionally vulnerable, described her life negatively, while he assured her she was attractive, loved her, and would always support her emotionally.
