2006: BOLTON RAPIST JAILED FOR VIOLENT SEX ATTACKS
2006: Czech man has been sentenced to prison for two severe sexual assaults that left his victims fearing for their lives.Milan Miskovic, aged 32, targeted women at his Bolton residence on two separate occasions four weeks apart, during which he physically assaulted them before raping them.
The women were both punched; one was even throttled.
Residing on Halsall Drive in Great Lever, Miskovic was deemed a danger to women and received a nine-year period before he could be considered for parole after being found guilty of three rape charges in March and April of the previous year.
It was also revealed that he is wanted by Czech authorities for two similar crimes.
His conviction occurred in March, but sentencing was delayed by four months because administrative issues prevented the Crown Prosecution Service from obtaining his criminal record from abroad.
It was also announced that he would be deported after serving his sentence.
The court learned that the first victim, a prostitute, was taken by Miskovic at 8:30 pm on March 9 in Great Lever, after agreeing to a £50 sex fee, but he turned aggressive, demanded she disrobe, and assaulted her.
He punched her and choked her before raping her twice.
The victim escaped when Miskovic made a phone call, alerting police who arrested him.
He was granted bail with an electronic tag that included a curfew.
Nonetheless, he committed his second assault less than a month later on April 6, targeting a 25-year-old Czech woman from Manchester.
The woman was forcibly taken to Miskovic’s house by him and a friend while attempting to sell cigarettes.
After the friends left, Miskovic, still wearing the electronic tag, forced her upstairs where she was punched and raped before he drove her home the following morning.
Miskovic argued through an interpreter that both incidents involved consensual sex.
However, at Bolton Crown Court, Judge Gillian Ruaux said he was a violent and dangerous individual.
She explained that both women endured excessive violence, far beyond what was necessary for the crimes, and were terrified for their lives.
The judge stated that Miskovic presents a serious threat to the community and is particularly dangerous to women.
