MICHAEL MCEVOY'S HORRIFIC CRIMES IN HARBOURNE: SERIAL RAPIST SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS

Michael McEvoy, a 62-year-old man residing on Station Road in Harborne, has been found guilty of committing a series of violent sexual offenses that spanned over twenty years. During the proceedings, it was revealed that McEvoy had repeatedly assaulted at least two women, with one victim enduring three separate rapes. She described feeling degraded, comparing her experience to that of a prostitute, as McEvoy forced himself upon her despite her protests. The court heard that he threatened her with death and warned that he could locate her and her family within just thirty minutes if she dared to disclose what had happened. Judge Dean Kershaw sentenced McEvoy to a total of 12 years in prison, emphasizing that he believed he could engage in sexual acts at will and that his victims had little control over the situation. Additionally, he will be subject to an eight-year restraining order that prohibits him from contacting the victims.
