HECKMONDWIKE PAEDOPHILE MICHAEL FREELAND SENTENCED TO 13 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES

In a significant case that has shocked the community of Heckmondwike, Michael Freeland, a 68-year-old man from the town, has been handed a lengthy prison sentence after admitting to multiple serious sexual offences involving minors.

Freeland appeared in court in April, where he pleaded guilty to eight counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child under the age of 15. The charges stem from incidents that occurred over a two-year period, specifically between 2017 and 2018, involving two different victims.
