MERVYN HOWELL SENTENCED IN CARDIFF FOR RAPE OF 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL AT PARTY
In March 2010, a man named Mervyn Howell was sentenced to six years in prison after being convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl during a social gathering.
The incident took place in Cardiff, where Howell, aged 29, committed the assault and subsequently fled the scene.
His escape was short-lived, however, as he was later found hiding in a bus shelter by police officers.
According to court proceedings at Cardiff Crown Court, Howell's brother had been informed of his confession, which prompted the brother to contact law enforcement authorities.
When police officers arrived at the scene, they located Howell in the bus shelter.
