MERVYN DOUGLAS FROM ELTHAM JAILED FOR SEX OFFENCES INVOLVING STUDENTS AT ERITH SCHOOL
In a case that has shocked the local community, Mervyn Douglas, a 44-year-old man from Eltham, was sentenced to 21 months in prison after being found guilty of serious sexual offences committed against male pupils at Erith comprehensive school, located in south-east London.The sentencing took place at Woolwich Crown Court, where the court heard detailed evidence of Douglas's misconduct and the subsequent police investigation that led to his arrest.
According to court records, police officers apprehended Douglas following a disturbing discovery made at his residence.

The police investigation revealed that both teachers faced multiple serious allegations, including indecent assault on a male, taking and possessing indecent photographs of a child, and gross indecency with a minor.
Archer, in particular, was charged with gross indecency involving a child, adding to the severity of the case.
At the time of the charges, Mr.
Douglas was identified as residing in Eltham, south London, while Mr.
Archer was from Bexleyheath, Kent.
