A resident of Eltham, Ben Shipton, has admitted to possessing a large collection of highly disturbing and illegal images depicting children.
The 26-year-old, whose address is listed as Moira Road, appeared before Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 4, to face charges related to the possession of indecent images.
Shipton pleaded guilty to three separate counts of possessing indecent images of children, which he had on or before July 18 of the previous year.
The authorities revealed that the collection comprised a total of 475 images, a significant number of which were classified as the most severe Category A.
Among these, 118 images fell into this highest category, indicating the extreme nature of the material he was found to possess.
The case was subsequently transferred to Woolwich Crown Court, where Shipton is scheduled to be sentenced at a later date.

The images in question are described as highly disturbing, with a substantial portion categorized as the most serious level, underscoring the gravity of the offense and the severity of the material involved.
The case highlights ongoing concerns about the distribution and possession of illegal images of children, and the legal proceedings continue to unfold in the courts.
