RAPIST FILMED BRUTAL SEX ATTACKS ON HIS MOBILE PHONE AFTER TAKING ‘FALLING OVER DRUNK’ CLUBBER BACK TO HIS FRIEND’S HOUSE
Evil Matthew Fellows, 27, had taken a cocktail of alcohol and drugs before subjecting victim to sickening ordeal. He raped the woman twice – recording the brutal attacks on his phone.
His victim – who was aged 26 at the time of the attacks in 2012 – reported the rapes after the defendant fell asleep.
Fellows, from Berryhill, Staffs, has been jailed for nine years after pleading guilty to two counts of rape at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
Judge Paul Glenn told the defendant: “You recorded what happened on your phone and that is a significant aggravating factor.” The court heard Fellows had taken a cocktail of alcohol and drugs when he raped the woman after meeting her in a city centre nightclub.
He met his victim in The Factory in Hanley on September 21, 2012, and they went back to her friend’s house.
After the friend went to bed, Fellows made his move, trying to kiss her and force himself on her.
He pulled down her trousers and asked her to perform a sex act on him.
The woman said “No,” and he told her, “Yes you are, you are all slags, just do it.” She tried to push him off, but he told her over and over that she must comply.
She managed to escape and tried to run upstairs to raise the alarm, but Fellows ran after her, dragged her back into the lounge, recorded her performing a sex act, and then had sex with her.
She only said she liked it because she was scared.
As soon as she thought he had gone to sleep, she left.
The court highlighted the significant detail that Fellows asked if she liked it, to which she replied “Yes,” only because she was frightened.
The attack followed a night at The Factory nightclub in Stoke-on-Trent, where Fellows met her before taking her back to the house.
Prosecutor Roger Brown described how Fellows tried to kiss, force, and exert control over her, including forcing her to perform a sex act, despite her protests and fear.
The judge described Fellows’ actions as a sickening abuse, and Fellows was sentenced to nine years in prison.
