DARREN WARING'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN STAFFS: NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE PERVERT SENTENCED TO FOUR YEARS
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of North Staffordshire, Darren Waring, a 36-year-old man from Staffs, has been sentenced to four years in prison after admitting to sexually abusing a young girl on five separate occasions over a span of two months.The heinous acts, which involved multiple instances of inappropriate and illegal conduct, came to light after the victim, a young girl, confided in her mother about the abuse.
According to court proceedings, the victim’s distress prompted her mother to seek help, leading to a voluntary interview with Waring conducted by Staffordshire Police.
During this interview, Waring made significant admissions regarding his actions.
Prosecutor Paul Spratt detailed that Waring confessed to engaging in sexual activity with the girl on five separate occasions.
The court heard that Waring had put his hand under her t-shirt and, on one occasion, shared an adult, intimate kiss with her.
The defendant was found to have been naked on at least three of these occasions, with the girl herself being naked from the waist down.
Waring also simulated intercourse during these encounters, actions that left the young victim confused and without understanding of what was happening to her.
Waring, who has no prior criminal convictions, pleaded guilty to five counts of sexual activity with a child.
His guilty plea was accepted by the court, and he was subsequently sentenced.
In addition to his prison term, Waring will face a lifetime ban from activities involving children and vulnerable adults.
He will also be required to register as a sex offender indefinitely, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his conduct.
During the sentencing, Judge Paul Glenn addressed Waring directly, stating, “You continued with the conduct even when you knew the child was upset about it.
You said you weren’t strong enough to desist.
The child will have suffered serious emotional and psychological damage.
You have taken away her innocence.
I accept you are remorseful.” The judge’s words underscored the severity of the crimes and the lasting impact on the victim, emphasizing the importance of justice in such cases.
