A 26-year-old man has been incarcerated for manslaughter following the death of his father.
Mateusz Staszczyk, who resides on Great South West Road in Hounslow, was formally charged with murder on December 16, 2021.
The victim, Jacek Staszczyk, aged 48, was discovered three days prior at his residence in Chatsworth Crescent with fatal stab wounds.
On October 27, 2022, Mateusz pleaded guilty to manslaughter by diminished responsibility.
Subsequently, he was sentenced at the same court on February 10 to an indefinite hospital order.
Senior investigating officer DCI Brian Howie from the Specialist Crime team expressed his condolences, stating: 'This is a terribly sad case, which of course represents a double tragedy for the family of Jacek Staszczyk, my thoughts and sympathies remain with them today.'
