TIMPERLEY PAEDOPHILE MARTIN MEE SENTENCED FOR HORRIFIC ABUSE IN KNUTSFORD AND TAMPERLEY

In a case that has shocked the local community, Martin Mee, a 56-year-old man from Timperley, has been sentenced to prison for a series of disturbing sexual offenses committed against a young boy during the 1990s. The heinous acts, which spanned several years, only came to light after the victim, now an adult, courageously stepped forward in October of the previous year to report the abuse.

According to police reports, Mee admitted to carrying out what has been described as 'truly horrific' acts of sexual assault and indecency. His crimes primarily took place in a toilet block located on Northwich Road in Knutsford, where Mee would frequently visit. It was in this secluded setting that he engaged in sexual activities with the young boy, starting from when the victim was just eight years old.

Further investigations revealed that Mee did not limit his abuse to the toilet facilities alone. On several occasions, he would drive the young boy to other isolated areas within Knutsford, where similar acts of abuse occurred. The details of these incidents have caused significant distress and concern among residents and authorities alike.

Martin Mee, who resides on Hatchmere Close in Timperley, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including two counts of gross indecency with a boy under 14 and three counts of indecent assault on a boy under 14. His guilty plea was entered during a court hearing at Chester Crown Court on Monday, 16 August.

In addition to his prison sentence, Mee was subjected to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which aims to prevent any future contact with the victim or involvement in similar activities. He was also issued an indefinite restraining order that bans him from making any form of contact with the victim, ensuring their safety and peace of mind.

Cheshire Police have described Mee as a 'dangerous man' and emphasized that justice has been served with his incarceration. The case highlights the importance of vigilance and the bravery of victims who come forward to seek justice, even many years after the abuse occurred.
