ABERDEEN MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO SEXUAL ASSAULT AND ASSAULT TO INJURY
Martin Forgie was found to be intoxicated inside the St Nicholas Centre in Aberdeen when he was approached by two 13-year-old girls who started talking to him. Later, the girls decided to film a TikTok video with Forgie in the background. During this incident, Forgie began to display inappropriate and aggressive behavior. When the girls approached him again, Forgie put his hand on one girl's knee and slowly moved it towards her inner thigh, which caused her to panic and flee with her friend. She later reported the assault to the police. Additionally, Forgie, who was sitting with his eyes closed and appeared unconscious, was found to be intoxicated. A man who saw Forgie's erratic behavior approached him to de-escalate the situation, but Forgie responded violently by repeatedly kicking the man in the head and body, resulting in bruising but no serious injury. Security staff detained Forgie until police arrived. Forgie pled guilty to sexual assault and assault causing injury. The sheriff deferred sentencing pending background reports, but he was placed under notification requirements under the Sexual Offences Act. The court heard that Forgie, of Newton Drive, Macduff, was involved in the sexual assault and violent conduct, which led to his guilty pleas and ongoing legal proceedings.
