KIRKINTILLOCH PAEDOPHILE MARTIN BORDON SENTENCED FOR RAPE OF SCHOOLGIRL
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Kirkintilloch, Martin Bordon, a 56-year-old man, was convicted of heinous sexual offenses involving a young schoolgirl.The incident came to light after the girl confided in a teacher, revealing that she believed she had been raped by Bordon, prompting authorities to intervene.
According to court records, Bordon had engaged in sexual activity with the girl on multiple occasions, including twice before her 13th birthday and once after.
The crimes took place at his residence in Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire, where he had lured the girl into his home under false pretenses.
The first assault occurred shortly before Christmas of the previous year, with a subsequent incident occurring earlier in the following year.
During the investigation, the girl expressed concerns that she might be pregnant, leading Bordon to purchase a pregnancy testing kit for her.
The test results came back negative, but the emotional and physical trauma inflicted on the girl was evident.
In court, Bordon admitted to having sexual relations with the underage girl, describing the encounters as “a carry on,” and acknowledged that she did not enjoy the acts.
He also confessed to having sex with her on more than one occasion, both before and after her 13th birthday.
Defense lawyer Laura Reilly stated that her client had shown remorse for his actions.
She emphasized that Bordon was fully aware that a custodial sentence was inevitable given the age of the victim and the severity of the crimes.
Ultimately, the High Court in Edinburgh sentenced Bordon to six years in prison.
Additionally, he was placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities to protect the community from further harm.
