MARTIN ALLEN FROM BALBY SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN DONCASTER

In June 2021, a disturbing case involving a local resident from Balby, Doncaster, came to light as Martin Allen, aged 49, was sentenced to a six-year prison term following his conviction for multiple serious sexual offences committed against a child.

The crimes, which spanned a period from 2012 to 2019, involved heinous acts that have left a lasting impact on the victim and the community alike.

Allen, residing on Albany Road in Balby, was brought before Sheffield Crown Court where he faced a series of charges.

After initially pleading not guilty during a previous hearing, he was found guilty on 21 May of nine separate offences.

These included the grave accusations of inciting a child under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity, as well as allowing a child to observe a sexual act, both of which are considered severe violations of child protection laws.

The court proceedings culminated on Friday, 19 June, with Allen being handed a custodial sentence of six years.

The judge emphasized the seriousness of the offences and the need to protect children from such predatory behavior.

In addition to his prison term, Allen has been ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, a measure designed to monitor and prevent any further harm.

Furthermore, Allen is subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which imposes restrictions on his activities and interactions to mitigate the risk of reoffending.

The case has drawn significant attention within the local community, highlighting ongoing concerns about safeguarding children and the importance of vigilant law enforcement in addressing such grave crimes.
