SHAMEFUL RAPIST MARK THORNTON JAILED FOR CHILD ABUSE IN HEYWOOD
A man named Mark Thornton, who resides in Heywood, was found guilty of serious sexual offences involving a young girl.
He employed various tactics, including offering cash, vapes, and cannabis, to silence the victim of his abuse.
Thornton was detained in May 2022 after committing multiple rapes over a period of six years, targeting an 11-year-old girl in Rochdale.
He was convicted of six counts of raping a child under 13 and received a prison term of 27 years.
Greater Manchester Police described the offences as appalling and noted that Thornton showed no remorse for his actions.
