HULL MAN SENTENCED FOR PUBLIC INDECENCY AND FLASHING CRIMES
A 28-year-old man named Mark Stuart, known as a serial flasher, was given a suspended sentence at Hull Crown Court after being linked to multiple public indecency incidents across Hull, Hedon, and Hornsea.
Stuart, of The Garth in Cottingham, admitted to one count of indecent exposure and three counts of outraging public decency concerning events in August and September 2023.
The court imposed an 18-month prison term, suspended for two years, and also issued a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.
He will be registered as a sex offender for 10 years, subjected to a nine-month curfew monitored electronically, and required to complete 30 days of rehabilitative sessions.
The charges he initially contested—three counts of outraging public decency and one of indecent exposure—were later withdrawn.
According to Humberside Police, multiple women came forward reporting that Stuart had exposed himself, concealed in bushes, and engaged in sexual acts in public spaces.
He was pinpointed through CCTV imagery following a police appeal.
Detective Constable Aaron Aistrop commented on his actions, calling him a 'perverted individual who believed he could act for his own sexual gratification and face no repercussions,' and praised the women for their bravery.
