MARK DEVEREUX FROM LOCKERBIE AND MOFFAT SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING SCHOOLGIRLS

In a recent court ruling, Mark Devereux, a 36-year-old resident of Queens Crescent in Lockerbie, has been convicted of serious sexual misconduct involving two underage girls in Moffat. The incident, which took place in April 2019, led to his appearance at Dumfries Sheriff Court, where he faced charges related to inappropriate verbal communications and physical assault.

Devereux was found guilty of directing sexually explicit verbal remarks towards two girls under the age of 16 during May of the previous year. The court also established that he had physically assaulted one of the girls by touching her inappropriately.
