A disturbing incident has unfolded in Durham involving Mark Alderson, a 37-year-old man whose actions have left a young girl traumatized and the community shaken.
The events took place after Alderson offered to give a schoolgirl a lift home from a party, a gesture that quickly turned into a nightmare for the victim.
According to court proceedings, Alderson pulled his vehicle into a dark, secluded side street in Durham, where he subjected the girl to a sexual assault and subsequently raped her twice.
