MALCOLM PLACE FROM DORMANTOWN AND REDCAR ADMITS TO MAKING INDECENT PSEUDO PHOTOGRAPHS OF CHILDREN
In a case that has shocked the local communities of Dormanstown and Redcar, Malcolm Place, aged 46, has confessed to creating indecent 'pseudo photographs' involving children. The offences took place over a span of more than three years, from April 2011 through May 2014, and were committed within the town of Redcar.During a hearing at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, prosecutor Holly Common outlined the nature of the images involved in the case. She explained that the photographs were categorized into three different levels of severity, indicating a range of disturbing content that was found during the investigation.
District Judge Helen Cousins addressed the court, emphasizing the gravity of the charges. She informed Malcolm Place that due to the seriousness of the offences, the case could not be handled at the magistrates’ level and must be transferred to the Crown Court for a more thorough judicial review.
Sarah Lish, representing the defendant, expressed her agreement with the court’s decision, stating that she had no objections to the case being escalated to the Crown Court.
Malcolm Place, who resides at The Fleet in Dormanstown, was granted bail following the hearing. He is scheduled to appear before Teesside Crown Court at a later date to face the charges related to the creation of these disturbing pseudo photographs involving children from the Redcar area.
