BRADFORD MAN JAILED FOR VILE VALENTINE’S DAY ATTACK
A Bradford man who urinated over his then partner during an attack on Valentine’s Day has been jailed for 20 months.During a hearing at Bradford Crown Court, Luke Longstaff’s barrister admitted that the act was a 'gratuitous degradation' of the woman, whom he met through a dating website.
The court was told that their relationship had deteriorated after both parties consumed alcohol and cannabis.
Prosecutor Andrew Semple stated that while the woman was seated on the floor near a radiator, Longstaff took out his penis and began to urinate on her.
When she attempted to grab the radiator, Longstaff tried to pull her across the floor, pulling the radiator from the wall.
She was punched twice in the face and was bleeding and bruised when Longstaff left.
During his police interview, Longstaff claimed the woman had been aggressive and armed herself with a knife.
He pleaded guilty to assault and criminal damage.
The court sentenced Longstaff to 20 months in prison.
Judge Andrew Hatton described the incident as a 'sustained assault' aggravated by 'appalling degradation,' highlighting that Longstaff removed his penis and urinated on her as she sat on the floor.
The judge emphasized that she was frightened during the attack and that it was a gross act of violence causing significant distress and injury to the victim.
