LOUIS MOSS FROM HENLOW ADMITS TO SEXUAL ASSAULT OF YOUNG GIRL IN LUTON COURT

In October 2017, a disturbing case involving Louis Moss, a 28-year-old man from Henlow, came to light as he faced serious criminal charges related to the sexual exploitation of a young girl. Moss, who was already serving time in prison at the time, appeared before Luton Crown Court to admit to his involvement in heinous acts of sexual assault against a girl under the age of 13.

During the court proceedings, Moss pleaded guilty to charges of sexually assaulting a minor and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. The allegations stem from incidents where he exploited a primary-school-aged girl, actions that have caused significant concern and outrage within the community. His admission of guilt marks a crucial step in the legal process, and he is now awaiting sentencing.

Alongside Moss, a woman from Royston, whose identity remains protected for legal reasons, also appeared in court. She admitted to neglecting a child's welfare and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a minor. Initially, both defendants denied the specific charge of engaging in sexual activity in front of a child, but they changed their pleas on the first day of their trial, which took place last week at the same court.

Judge Michael Kay QC ordered that the second count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child be left on file for each defendant, meaning it will be considered during sentencing but was not formally admitted at that time. Moss remains in custody, while the Royston woman has been granted bail pending her sentencing.

The court has scheduled the sentencing for both individuals to take place on December 12 at Luton Crown Court, where the full extent of their crimes and appropriate penalties will be determined. The case has drawn significant attention due to the serious nature of the offenses and the impact on the young victim and the community at large.
