SOUTH SHIELDS WOMAN WITH 103 CONVICTIONS CAUGHT STEALING MINIATURE CHRISTMAS TREES
A female offender named Lindsey Smith, aged 46, from South Shields, has a long criminal history with 103 previous convictions, including 32 for theft-related offences.She has been involved in multiple incidents of disruptive and criminal behavior.
Recently, she was involved in stealing from three shops in South Shields, where she took items worth a total of £158, all of which were recovered.
Specifically, she stole 19 miniature Christmas trees from Asda, six pairs of pyjamas and seven boxes of chocolates from Poundland, and an 18-can multipack of Fanta from Heron Foods.
She pleaded guilty to three counts of theft.
In relation to her earlier offenses, she was previously sentenced to community orders, including one for stripping in front of children while heavily intoxicated.
Her disruptive behavior also led her to remove her clothes publicly in South Shields, exposing her genitals, which resulted in her being sentenced to an 18-month community order with rehabilitation and a fine of £200.
Judge Nathan Adams warned her: 'They are relatively minor matters in isolation.
You have a very lengthy record.
Please consider this to be a final chance.' Her defense attorney mentioned that the stolen items were of low value and were returned.
