LIAM MCALLISTER'S ABUSE IN ABERDEEN: SHOCKING DOMESTIC TERROR IN SCOTLAND'S NORTH

A disturbing case of domestic abuse has come to light in Aberdeen, where Liam McAllister was found guilty of a series of harrowing acts of violence and intimidation against his former partner. The incident unfolded over several months, culminating in a frightening break-in and acts of vandalism that left the victim terrified and emotionally scarred.

McAllister, aged 27, appeared before Aberdeen Sheriff Court to face charges related to his abusive behavior. The court was told that his actions included a pattern of psychological torment, physical damage, and threatening language aimed at his ex-girlfriend. Among the most alarming incidents was his entry into her home, where he defaced her personal space by carving the word ‘slag’ above the headboard of her bed, a deeply humiliating act intended to demean and intimidate.

Prosecutor Rebecca Coakley detailed the extent of McAllister’s abusive conduct, revealing that between September 23 and November 29 of the previous year, the woman returned home on multiple occasions to find her belongings damaged. Notably, her leather jacket had been set on fire, resulting in damages estimated at approximately £748. The court heard that McAllister’s threats extended beyond physical damage; he repeatedly encouraged her to take her own life, asking her pointedly why she had not yet done so. His words included chilling remarks such as, “Why haven’t you done it yet?” and “You might as well kill yourself because I’ll make your life hell.”

Further acts of vandalism included scrawling ‘Dom is dead’ on her front door after breaking into her residence, and messaging her to say he had done “something bad” to her door. These actions created an atmosphere of fear and intimidation, leaving the victim feeling vulnerable and unsafe in her own home.

McAllister pleaded guilty to charges of abusive conduct, acknowledging the severity of his actions. His defense solicitor, Leonard Burkinshaw, stated that McAllister recognizes his behavior was “totally unacceptable” and that the breakup had been particularly difficult for him. It was also noted that he has since made efforts to pay back some of the damages caused.

In her sentencing remarks, Sheriff Rhona Wark condemned McAllister’s conduct as “simply unacceptable,” emphasizing that no one has the right to police or control another person’s life. She ordered a community payback order with supervision, mandated 100 hours of unpaid work, and required his participation in a domestic abuse program. Additionally, she imposed a one-year non-harassment order to prevent him from approaching or contacting the woman, aiming to protect her from further harm and ensure her safety in the future.
