A sex offender from Ashford who targeted both children and adults has been jailed for more than 20 years.
In 2021, authorities initiated an investigation into Lewis Stevens following claims that he had raped two young individuals during the late 2000s.
During the course of the inquiry, a woman came forward, alleging she had also been raped by Stevens.
Additionally, another complainant accused him of sending her explicit images of himself.
Lewis Stevens, who resides in New Town Green, was detained in November 2021 and subsequently faced multiple charges related to sexual offenses.
He maintained his innocence throughout the proceedings.
A jury at Maidstone Crown Court convicted him on ten counts, which included five counts of child rape.
On Thursday, July 16, he was sentenced to an extended term of 22 years and 6 months imprisonment.
Upon reaching parole eligibility, he will serve an additional 6 years and 6 months on license.
