EAST SUSSEX TEEN ADULT RAPIST JAILED FOR MULTIPLE SEX ATTACKS
A teenager named Lewis Jackson, who exerted control over others, has received a prison sentence of ten years following convictions for several sex-related crimes. His offenses include sexually assaulting a teenage girl five times in 2017, when he was 17 years old, as well as assaulting a 15-year-old girl in 2016.
Jackson had initially denied the charges but was found guilty at Brighton Crown Court of multiple counts of rape and serious sexual assault.
Judge Anne Arnold remarked that Jackson's actions subjected the victims, who must remain anonymous for legal reasons, to relive their trauma in court.
Over a span of four months, Jackson committed 14 separate rapes, and he also had a history of coercive control against three other girls, for which he served time last year.
Authorities first investigated Jackson in 2017 following reports from third parties.
Despite his initial denial, further police inquiries and victims’ testimonies resulted in his conviction.
He will be registered as a sex offender, and while the victims continue to be impacted, they feel confirmed in their believe that justice has been served.
Detective Constable Sally O’Shaughnessy highlighted the significance of reporting sexual abuse and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
