MAN AVOIDS JAIL FOR BEHAVING AGGRESSIVELY TOWARDS HIS FORMER PARTNER AND BREACHING COURT ORDER
A 20-year-old man named Lennon Francis has been involved in an incident where he behaved aggressively towards his former partner.According to court reports, he shouted at the woman during an encounter which also involved him pushing her onto a bed and grabbing her at a property in Gorebridge, Midlothian, on March 29.
After the incident, Francis was arrested and appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on April 7, where he was released on bail with the condition that he would not contact the woman.
Despite this condition, Francis breached the court order by contacting her on social media both on April 8 and again on April 14.
He subsequently pleaded guilty to both offences during a court hearing last Thursday.
Sheriff Joseph Stewart sentenced him to a community payback order requiring 70 hours of unpaid work and also imposed a non-harassment order banning all contact with the woman for 24 months.
