SHEFFIELD THUG LEE WHITE JAILED FOR VIOLENT ASSAULT AND HIGH-SPEED POLICE CHASE
Lee White, a 35-year-old from Sheffield, was involved in a violent incident where he pulled his partner by the hair across the kitchen, hit her with a trainer, and pushed her into the back door.He then took her phone and vehicle before engaging in a high-speed police chase.
The incident occurred after an argument on June 12 last year, when his partner asked him to leave their home.
Prosecutor Kevin Jones explained in Sheffield Crown Court that White had been physically aggressive, hitting her on the upper left arm with a trainer and kicking her.
He subsequently pushed her into the back door, grabbed her hair, and dragged her around the kitchen.
After releasing her, White took her phone and drove off in her car.
Police spotted him later, and during the pursuit, he reached speeds of approximately 94mph through the South Yorkshire countryside.
The chase ended when he collided with parked cars.
White has prior convictions for assault causing actual bodily harm and for battery against the same partner.
During the time of these offenses, he was disqualified from driving.
He was sentenced to 16 months imprisonment, with a one-year and 34-week driving ban and an order for an extended driving test.
Judge His Honour Reeds KC criticized his reckless driving and previous violent conduct.
