LEE TAYLOR OF CONISBROUGH, SOUTH YORKSHIRE, JAILED FOR POSSESSING THOUSANDS OF INDECENT CHILD IMAGES
In April 2021, Lee Taylor, a 51-year-old resident of Daylands Avenue, Conisbrough, South Yorkshire, was sentenced to prison after police discovered thousands of indecent images of children on his electronic devices.Sheffield Crown Court revealed that on October 25, 2018, police executed a search warrant at Taylor’s home over suspicions that he had been downloading indecent images of minors.
During the search, officers found numerous images stored on a laptop and a hard drive.
Prosecutor Edison Flint stated that the images included 8,753 category C images and 228 moving images, along with 53 still images and over 100 moving videos from category B, and three still images plus 48 moving videos from category A, which is considered the most serious.
Taylor pleaded guilty to three counts of producing indecent images across categories A, B, and C.
Defense solicitor Lauren Fisher explained that Taylor accepts that he downloaded some of the images but claimed that some may have been sent to him personally.
She also noted that Taylor has not attracted police or court attention for similar offenses since.

Fisher added that Taylor is now afraid of people's judgment and has become anxious about entering Doncaster town centre.
The court’s sentences included Recorder Benjamin Nolan QC describing the seriousness of the offense, saying, “The children involved were sometimes very young, and their misery is evident in some of the images.” Nolan emphasized, “Images of this sort have to be made to be viewed, which involves extreme cruelty to children, and those in possession of such images are contributing to this cruelty.” Taylor was sentenced to nine months in custody.
Additionally, he was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for ten years and to comply with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same duration.
