BIGGLESWADE MAN LEE RIDER SENTENCED TO 13 YEARS FOR HORRIFIC SEXUAL ABUSE AND RECORDINGS
Lee Rider, a resident of Biggleswade in Bedfordshire, has been handed a lengthy prison sentence of 13 years following a series of deeply disturbing criminal acts involving the sexual assault and exploitation of a young girl.The offenses spanned over a period of five years, during which Rider subjected the victim to repeated sexual abuse, coercing her into performing sexual acts on him.
In some instances, he went further by recording these acts, creating a disturbing trail of indecent images.
Throughout the trial, Rider attempted to justify his heinous actions by claiming that his behavior was motivated by a need to improve his mental health.
However, this explanation was met with little sympathy from the court, especially given the gravity of his crimes.
He pleaded guilty to 12 separate charges, which included the rape of a child under the age of 13, encouraging or causing a child to engage in sexual activities, and the production of indecent images of children.
Despite his efforts to deny the allegations during police interviews and asserting that the victim was lying, the evidence presented in court painted a starkly different picture.
