OFFENDER CONVICTED OF SAVAGE MURDER DURING BURGLARY
Lee Fueloep, a 40-year-old individual with a history of drug use, has been convicted of the murder of Jill Hibberd, a 73-year-old owner of a massage parlour. The fatal assault involved stabbing her 70 times.
The incident occurred in the living room of her newly constructed house in Wombwell, near Barnsley, on May 30.
Court proceedings revealed that Ms Hibberd suffered multiple stab wounds covering her body, face, neck, arms, and legs, with injuries damaging her kidneys, liver, lung, and spleen.
Fueloep initially denied the killing, stating he visited her residence to 'sketch Ms Hibberd's dogs.' After a nearly three-week trial, he was found guilty.
Evidence showed he rifled through her handbag and stole her red Audi TT parked outside her home.
Prosecutor Kama Melly QC argued that the murder was committed for financial gain during a burglary and theft.
Sentencing is set to take place before Mrs.
Justice O'Farrell, with the prosecution recommending no less than 30 years in prison due to the heinous nature of the crime.
