KYLE SANDILANDS PERTH STALKER AND REVENGE PORN OFFENDER SENT EGG BOMBS AND EXPOSED GIRLFRIEND'S PRIVATES

A disturbing case of harassment and revenge porn has come to light involving a young man from Perth, Kyle Sandilands, who carried out a 16-day campaign of intimidation and malicious acts against his former girlfriend. The Perth Sheriff Court heard detailed accounts of his actions, which included threats of violence, stalking, and the distribution of explicit images.

Sandilands, a 20-year-old apprentice working in the gas and heating industry, resided on Muirton Place in Perth at the time of these incidents. His campaign of harassment began shortly after the end of his relationship with the teenage girl, who was only 15 when they first became involved and 16 at the time of the incidents. Despite their breakup, the two maintained a friendship, but Sandilands’s behavior soon turned threatening and invasive.

According to court reports, between April 20 and May 6, 2018, Sandilands engaged in a series of actions that caused his former partner to feel fear and alarm. The court was told that he sent her a series of aggressive messages, including one where he called her a “slag” and accused her of being unfaithful. One message read: “you’re f***ing unbelievable you wee f***ing slag,” followed by threats such as “I’m gonna stab the f*** out of you” and “don’t ever speak to me again.” These messages appeared to be motivated by rumors that she had started seeing another boy.

In addition to verbal threats, Sandilands made physical threats, stating he would “kick her door in” and “smash her windows.” The girl responded by blocking him on Facebook, but after he apologized, she unblocked him and they resumed communication. However, on May 6, 2018, Sandilands crossed a serious line by sending her an explicit photograph of her private parts, accompanied by a warning: “watch your dirtys go about as well.” The girl interpreted this as a threat to distribute the image further, prompting her to block him on WhatsApp to prevent further contact.

Further escalating his harassment, Sandilands engaged in a WhatsApp conversation with the girl’s mother, during which he made various unfounded allegations about her being sexually promiscuous. The following night, around midnight, the girl was asleep when she heard multiple loud bangs on her window. Upon investigation, she discovered that eggs had been thrown at her window. Sandilands then sent her mother a message saying, “Better clean your windows,” along with a picture of an egg.

These actions prompted the girl’s family to contact the police, leading to Sandilands’s arrest on May 14, 2018. During police interviews, he chose to give a “no comment” response. The court was informed that he would face sentencing on May 15, after the completion of background reports. A Crown motion requesting a non-harassment order was also continued to the same date. Sandilands has admitted to engaging in conduct that caused the girl to feel fear or alarm during the specified period.

Legal proceedings continue as his solicitor, David Holmes, prepares to present mitigation in the upcoming hearing. The case highlights the serious consequences of stalking, threats, and revenge porn, emphasizing the importance of addressing such behaviors through the justice system.
