In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Kyle Rolfe, a 25-year-old resident of Straight Drove in Farcet, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for a series of heinous sexual offenses committed against a young girl. The abuse took place over a span of five years, from 2015 until 2020, until the victim finally confided in her family members, prompting authorities to take action.Rolfe-Steel’s crimes came to light during a trial held in September, where he pleaded guilty to several charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor. The court heard that he had assaulted the girl multiple times, engaging in acts of sexual touching, penetration, and inciting her to participate in sexual activities. His admission of guilt covered some of the charges, but he was ultimately found guilty of six counts, including two counts of raping a girl under the age of 13, one count of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and three counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by touching her.
Throughout the proceedings, the court was presented with evidence of the repeated nature of Rolfe-Steel’s offenses, which spanned several years and involved multiple instances of abuse. The victim’s courage in coming forward was a crucial factor in bringing the case to trial and ensuring that justice was served.
On Friday, November 15, at Peterborough Crown Court, Rolfe-Steel was formally sentenced to eight years in prison. The judge emphasized the severity of his crimes and the lasting impact they would have on the young girl’s life.
