ROTHERHAM MAN JAILED FOR VIOLENT ASSAULT AND THREATS AGAINST EX
A jealous thug beat up his ex partner because of texts she sent to another man before she met him and threatened to burn her parents' house to the ground, throw acid at her mum's face and have her little brother violated.He was sentenced at Truro Crown Court to two years in prison after pleading guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm, stalking involving fear of violence, and criminal damage.Kyle Pakey, 35, of Stanley Street, Rotherham, has 14 previous convictions for 27 offences.The court heard that in November 2024, he became jealous after a text message his ex had sent to another man prior to their relationship.
Pakey ordered her to show the message, then flew into a rage, shouting and becoming physically violent, pushing her face with a phone, grabbing her face, and pushing her onto the bed.
In August 2025, over a text to a female friend, he again became enraged, forcing her to call the number for verification, and then pulled her by the hair, slapped her, and landed more blows to her face, one after another.
He also smashed a window in September 2025 and was arrested after becoming hostile and being pepper-sprayed by police.
During the incident, his victim suffered injuries including a perforated eardrum and a bite mark.
She fled to Birmingham but was threatened with petrol bombing, acid attack, and violation of her brother.
Pakey was jailed for two years and given a five-year restraining order.
His background includes violence, abuse, and deprivation, compounded by drug and alcohol issues.
The court noted his violent outbursts in prison and poor engagement with probation.
The judge highlighted the relationship's violent and controlling nature, worsened by substance use, and sentenced him to two years in jail.
