ROTHERHAM MAN KYLE FELL JAILED FOR THREATENING TO KILL YOUNG BOY AND HIS PREGNANT MUM
A violent criminal who threatened to strangle a three-year-old boy to death and kill his pregnant mum by setting their house on fire has been sentenced to imprisonment.Kyle Fell was invited by a friend to stay at a woman's house in Rotherham on December 10, 2020, during which he caused a disturbance around 2:50 am, as reported in Sheffield Crown Court.
The victim, a pregnant woman whose home Fell had been staying in overnight, was unaware he was present and he began uttering horrifying threats, including his intentions to harm her son and kill her.
The judge described Fell’s actions as 'the {}stuff of horror stories,' with him yelling that he would "strangle her son and kill her." The woman ran to her son’s bedroom, where he was woken by the commotion, and Fell armed himself with a hammer, threatening to set fire to the house and demanding a lighter to do so.
His terrified victim contacted the police, and when officers arrived, she ran outside in tears barefoot.
Judge Peter Kelson QC described his behavior as 'truly terrifying,' causing the woman to feel so horrified she nearly vomited.
Fell, of Rawmarsh Hill, Park Gate, initially denied charges of threats to kill and criminal damage, claiming he could not believe he had acted that way.
However, he later admitted to the offenses prior to sentencing, which was influenced by the effects of drugs.
The court sentenced him to two years and four months in prison, with the judge stating: 'The threats you were uttering were horrific.
The fact they were in the presence of a three-year-old child is even more horrific.'
