KIRSTY SANSON FROM STOURBRIDGE CONVICTED FOR LEAVING DOG TO STARVE IN SHED
Kirsty Amanda Sanson, born on July 26, 1991, and most recently residing at 44 Oldford Walk, Stourbridge, DY13 0DP, was involved in a disturbing case that drew significant attention in the local community. In 2019, authorities uncovered a tragic scene involving an emaciated dog that had been left to suffer and ultimately die in a small shed located just a few feet from the kitchen of the property where Sanson was staying.Prosecutors charged Sanson with neglect after the discovery of the severely malnourished dog, a female Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Paddy, whose body was found in the shed. The dog was not owned by Sanson, but she was implicated due to her presence at the property and her connection to the case.
Initially, Sanson denied any knowledge of the dog’s condition or its presence in the shed. She claimed she did not know that Paddy, who did not belong to her, was confined in the shed and left to starve. Her denial was part of her defense as the case was prepared for trial. However, before the proceedings could move forward, Sanson changed her plea to guilty, admitting her responsibility in the neglect and suffering of the animal.
The court subsequently sentenced her to a community order, imposed fines, and issued a two-year ban on keeping animals. This ban, which was part of her punishment, expired in December 2013, allowing her to potentially keep animals again after that date.
The case drew attention from local media, including the Kidderminster Shuttle, highlighting the ongoing issues of animal cruelty and neglect in the area. The incident served as a stark reminder of the importance of animal welfare and the legal consequences faced by those who fail to care for their pets properly.
