KIFUENI KADIABIOKO: LONDON MAN CAUGHT IN WILLEHALL TRAINING SCENE AFTER SEVEN YEARS

In a significant development in a long-standing case of child sexual assault, Kifueni Kadiabioko, aged 41, has been brought to justice after being identified and apprehended following a chance encounter on a train. The incident, which occurred in Willenhall, Coventry, has garnered considerable attention due to the remarkable circumstances surrounding the arrest and the lengthy period that had elapsed since the original crime.

According to court records, Kadiabioko had previously admitted to raping a 12-year-old girl in October 2004. The assault took place in Willenhall, Coventry, where the young victim was attacked by the defendant. The details of the case reveal that Kadiabioko had lured the girl into a dangerous situation, dragging her into his car as she was walking home from school. He then took her to a flat where he committed the assault. The crime was committed with such severity that it left a lasting impact on the victim and her family.

Despite the passage of over seven years, the case took a dramatic turn when the victim’s aunt, who was familiar with Kadiabioko’s identity, recognized him on a train at Euston station in February of this year. Her keen observation and quick thinking led her to identify the man as the suspect from the 2004 incident. Recognizing the potential importance of her discovery, she promptly called emergency services, alerting police to her sighting.

Following the call, law enforcement officers acted swiftly. Kadiabioko, who was residing in London at the time, was arrested at Northampton station. The police confirmed that the arrest was directly linked to the aunt’s identification and the subsequent investigation. The authorities confirmed that Kadiabioko was known to the victim’s family, which added context to the case and underscored the importance of community vigilance.

During court proceedings, Kadiabioko, of Clarendon Road, London, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including three counts of false imprisonment, the rape of the young girl, and assault. His guilty plea was entered last month, and he was subsequently sentenced to a total of 11 years and three months in prison for each of the offenses, with all sentences to run concurrently. Additionally, he was ordered to remain on the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely, reflecting the seriousness of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses.

Detective Constable Deb McCord provided further insight into the case, emphasizing the significance of the aunt’s role in the arrest. She praised her for her “fantastic spot” in recognizing Kadiabioko on the train, which ultimately led to his capture. Ms. McCord also commended the victim’s aunt for her restraint and discretion in not challenging Kadiabioko directly and for making the emergency call in a manner that did not alert him to her suspicion. She highlighted the importance of community vigilance and the crucial role it played in bringing a long-standing offender to justice.
