KIERON PIDD'S BRUTAL ATTACK IN HULL LEAVES WOMAN WITH SEVERE INJURIES

A woman in Hull suffered serious injuries after her former partner, Kieron Pidd, launched a violent assault that left her physically and emotionally scarred. The incident unfolded during the early hours of September 2, 2023, when Pidd, who has a documented history of violence, particularly against women, suddenly entered her home and attacked her in a brutal and unprovoked manner.

According to reports presented in Hull Crown Court, Pidd had been drinking heavily prior to the assault, consuming five cans of rum. This intoxication appeared to fuel his aggressive behavior, which was described as a 'prolonged and persistent' attack by the court. The woman recounted that she was peacefully resting in her bed when Pidd approached her unexpectedly. Without warning, he snatched her phone, which she was using at the time, and forcefully pulled her from the bed. During the struggle, Pidd bit her face, inflicting multiple injuries that included two black eyes, a swollen nose, cuts, and visible teeth marks.

Following the assault, the woman managed to contact the police, who responded promptly to her distress. She later sought refuge at her mother’s house to escape further harm. Among these are ten assaults, two of which involved violence against women. Notably, in 2015, Pidd was involved in an incident at a pub where he choked a woman during an altercation. More recently, he had been involved in threatening to damage property during a dispute.

Legal representatives for Pidd argued that he was remorseful and ashamed of his actions, emphasizing his role as a fisherman who contributes positively to society. Despite these mitigating factors, the court sentenced him to two years and eight months in prison.
