A man responsible for assaulting and strangling his former partner has been sentenced to prison.
Kieran Hemming, aged 41 and from Mosspit, Stafford, arrived at his ex-partner’s residence in September of the previous year, demanding to speak with her.
He forcefully entered the property, pushed her to the ground, and then exited.
In a separate incident in June 2024, Hemming strangled his ex-partner during an argument inside her home.
Following this, he also sent her multiple threatening emails.
Upon learning about the abuse, authorities worked diligently to support the victim and to collect sufficient evidence to charge him.
As a result of this evidence and the victim’s bravery, Hemming admitted guilt to charges including intentional strangulation, assault by beating, and harassment—causing fear of violence.
He was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison at Stafford Crown Court on Tuesday, 17 March.
